New York in the 1920s, when the term industrial design
first came into use. Emphasizing functionality and practicality,
unnecessary ornamentation was stripped away in favor of an unadorned, rugged design, and beautiful designs began to emerge for a wide range of industrial products,
starting with automobiles and extending to home appliances, furniture,
and electronic devices.
A denim jacket
retrospectively crafted using the manufacturing methods of a
Brooklyn, New York workwear brand that flourished during the
period described above.
The short-length, one-pocket blouse style with a waistband
is a style unique to the era. The roomy, relaxed
box silhouette also has a distinctive atmosphere. The collar stand with chin straps,
designed to provide a better fit when worn over a shirt,
and the voluminous, uniquely shaped two-piece sleeves are also noteworthy
details. Two-needle chain stitching is used in key areas.
Made using 8oz brown denim woven with 10-count warp threads and 20-count weft threads,
dyed with sulfur dyes. It has a lightweight and rich texture.
A product that allows you to enjoy the functional beauty and
fit of both a jacket and a shirt.
