Blessed with vast lands and abundant resources, America
underwent a full-scale industrial revolution in the 1860s and 1870s.
The transcontinental railroad, construction of which had already begun during the Civil War,
opened in 1869.
In addition to promoting westward expansion, it became a powerful driving force
for the industrial revolution by developing domestic resources and
expanding markets.
The development of industry was supported by the contributions of workers.
To protect themselves from heavy labor, they wore durable cotton workwear,
including denim, which came to be known as Chore Jackets and Railroad Jackets,
supporting the development of industry. This can be considered the origin of the work jacket.
Inheriting this background, this denim jacket was made in the 1940s
by retrospectively recreating the construction methods of
West Coast workwear brands.
A relaxed box silhouette with ample room.
Two large modified home-base style pockets.
Features a stand collar.
Double-needle chain stitching is used in key areas.
Made with 10oz denim woven with pure indigo in the warp and gray in the weft.
Selected iron donut buttons allow you to enjoy the aging process
along with the fabric over time.
A product unique to LAWFORD,
allowing you to enjoy the functional beauty and silhouette
inherent to work jackets.
